At the behest of its president, Student Council will be hosting an Easter egg hunt for students on Sunday! I won't have the time to run an RNG or even do a proper IC/OOC, but you know what I can do? Make you write short essays about your characters' egg hunting skills. Presume this takes place after Community Outreach's responsibilities in town.

I will then choose who was the most successful, and who was the least successful! There will be IC prizes to lord over your peers! :) It'll be chosen based on content, what makes us laugh, activity blah blah blah.

Hey everyone it's JJ and here's my final character (saving the worst for last!).

Sophomore Coins boy, also from the suburbs of Omaha. He is not friends with Yvie even if she told you he is :/

Has nine siblings and never had his own personal space or a clean kitchen growing up and now he's Fussy and Weird.

Wrecked his personal life at his old school due to his own very bad decisions and came to Finchwood to get away from it all. It worked out, because he is a big believer in The Mission.

Kind of a reckless idiot on the battlefield! Fights like he wants to die! Scout has done a good job keeping him alive thus far (unfortunately).

Tries to keep his personal life here low-key to avoid any further drama... but he loves going to parties and gossiping and hanging out with people so this has been hard.

Core Classes: English, Mathematics, Science*, Social Studies*, Training. Elective Classes: Philosophy, Art, Shop. Clubs: Athletics, Community Outreach, Drama (crew only), Gaming, Gardening.

Needs any kind of plots but he also puts effort into being a non-presence so it shouldn't be a problem if your character doesn't have any particular feelings about him. Might just start posting with him and see what happens.

Yvie Barton is a girl from the suburbs of Omaha, Nebraska. Her mother loves her prize winning cats more than her human daughter. She's on Squad 1, a junior Sword, The Hierophant, and she's super nice. Just, like, soooooooo nice. The sweetest. The nicest gosh darn girl in school. So why is it that people don't do exactly what she wants????

Hello hello hello! On Saturday, April 13th Venus invites members of Drama Club/Wands House/everyone to come join her in the girls' common room for an illegal, after-curfew, drunken production of Much Ado About Nothing. ( stuff under the cut! )

Prom nominations must be in by the end of tomorrow (Tuesday, April 9) to be counted! If it helps, you don't need to write long nominations, although obviously thoughtful nominations may be weighted more.

We haven't 100% worked out how voting will work yet, but it'll be likely that you can vote for your top two candidates in every age category, regardless of gender. If you really want (or don't want) your character(s) to be nominated, please feel free to discuss it below! :)

Hello everyone! Marin and I are going to be handling prom so that our excellent mods can focus on endgame prep! The rough schedule is:

Nominations will go up later today (4/3) after I get some feedback
Nominees will be announced and voting will go up a week from now (4/10).
Prom will be at the end of the month (4/27)

It'll be the same system as Gooseberry with the screened voting popularity contest thing! But we were considering some small changes, and wanted to know what you guys thought.

Namely, I'm considering tossing out the rule that girls can't run as king and boys can't run as queen. Since we have a smaller cast and a less competitive vibe, spreading out wins seems like less of a necessity. This would potentially allow for a prom Queen and Queen situation, or something equally gay.

Do you guys still want duke/duchess for the sophs or is that overkill???

I'm also willing to experiment with other changes if you guys have any ideas!

Hey gang~ Just a few quick notes regarding Spring Break:

Technically, the break starts on Monday but students can leave this weekend if they want to get an early start!

All students have to notify staff if they're leaving campus and tell them where they're going. They want to stay informed! Students that are eighteen do not need parental permission to do this, but students that are under eighteen do. They won't be falling for any forged signatures or fake phone calls either. Sorry, you rascals!

Even if your character is away from campus, they can still attend the Velvet Room party on Sunday per Khalil's post. The Velvet Room works in mysterious ways. Be prepared to explain that deep sleep to family and friends, though.

Students should be back on campus the afternoon of March 24th at the latest. Wildcards can skip their Saturday class if they want to but Mr. Gladstone will be disappointed. :(

Ok i meant to post this like two days ago, but the weekend is the worst time for me to even pretend i have actual time to use a computer

But I made a second character. This is Skylar Clegg. He's a junior cups on squad 9. I decided I wanted to write an actual teenager, so he's got a lot of positive attributes that you'd want in a person. He knows how to carry himself, he's intelligent and capable of compassion but he's also got a lot of like literally the worst teenage attributes i could think of. He takes all the wrong things seriously and none of those things are actually important, because he's physically incapable of taking anything important seriously. So if you wanna discuss 12th century Ethiopa, he's probably read a book on it and is very serious about it, but if you wanna discuss his emotions or how he feels about literally fucking with shadows every month, he's much more likely to make a joke. And it will never be a good joke because he is 100 percent no where near as funny as he thinks you think he is.

A bit of backstory: Skylar grew up with a heroin addict for a mother who developed a very selectively loving relationship with him, which makes him a bit reluctant to truly trust people, because he kinda figures his birth giver is the person that love should come unconditionally from, and if she can manage that - then can really any of them actually manage love. If it's conditional than what's the point, right? After being taken from her by the state a couple times, Skylar petitioned the state to give a temporary guardian, who's much less of a dick. He's never talked about that, so it's probably easy to assume he has a normal, mundane life everytime he leaves school for a break, but since i apped him after the major holidays this school year, he very obviously did not leave school for either of them, and he won't be leaving for spring break either.

skylar has been attending finchwood since it's been a thing, obviously, so i need relationships for this kid.

- any previous hook ups/random flings/past relationships; he's not super terrible at dating, but he does monologue a bit and tends to do dumb shit without fully thinking them through.
- Friends/housemates/squadmates - it's super hard to lose his friendship once he's decided he's gonna be your friend, and he's super easy to befriend, because he kinda just goes with it and doesn't question much. You could ask him to help you bury a body after he walks in on your burying a body and he will most likely kinda just go with it.
- people who hate him - like friends, it's probably not that hard to hate him either. He's got some strong opinions on some things, and very little desire to censor himself. He's pretty blunt - sometimes in a funny way, sometimes not. The one thing he has no patience for are bullies.
