Endgame Plan (Please Read)

Hi guys!

Based on this weekend and the feedback we got on this post, here's our plan! If you have any questions or concerns, just let us know.

The mods will continue doing obstacles and combat rolls through Wednesday (6/26).

Players will have until midnight on Friday (6/28) to wrap up their dungeons. Technically, players can keep tagging on these as long as they want, but this is the last day to write and wrap these scenes up before the game progresses.

For IC purposes, please assume that the last guardian will be taken down around the same time that the last Persona is recovered. Essentially, all of the characters will be ready to go for Gladstone around the same time and no group will be waiting around.

The mods will be posting the endgame finale on Saturday (6/29). This will be a narrative IC/OOC wrapping everything up with Gladstone and the events that've been happening around Haling Cove.

Also on Saturday (6/29), the mods will be posting an IC/OOC that encompasses the week after endgame and concludes with graduation. We will break it down by days of the week and players can play out any scenes they want here. This will be the final IC/OOC of the game.

Sometime in July, we'll post a future meme~ Please be kind to your kids after we've been so mean to them. ♥

Hi everyone!

We just wanted to touch base with you all quickly about endgame and what's coming after. We're looking for some feedback so if you have any thoughts on the following points, please let us know!

While we never established a hard end date, we were originally planning to start wrapping up endgame on Sunday (6/23). However, it's looking like that might be a rush for some groups. What would people think about pushing that back a few days or leaving the date open until people get a chance to wrap things up?

There has been some discussion about what to do after endgame to wrap things up. While there was some discussion of a reunion or whatnot like there was for Gooseberry, we're thinking that it might be more fun to do the week after the events of endgame leading up to the graduation for seniors and the announcement of what will happen next year for everyone else. This would give characters time to absorb what happened (maybe talk to their friends about their Shadows!), have some more relaxed time on campus, and the like. If we went this approach, we'd likely do a future meme just for fun, though.

With the way that endgame has been playing out, we've decided to take permanent character death off the table for the encounter with Gladstone. We'd be willing to incorporate some long-term consequences of sorts if people have ideas and want to reach out to us, but we think it's just not the right tone to end on with the way things have built up. Hopefully nobody had their hopes up for this too much. ♥ You monsters.

Hey guys!! We wanted to give you an example of character's Shadow confrontation, so Rin has written up one style for you guys real fast. This is just an example, though - you're more than welcome to play this out in shorter tags with more spaces for interaction, like you're playing a mimic, or you can be less wordy than Rin was here and not even have any direct dialogue. It's entirely up to you, and don't feel any pressure to write too much! If you deny your Shadow you're in for a fight, but it's also possible for a character to simply accept that their Shadow is a part of them and it can go quietly. Rin has suggested here that there's a sort of pull to accept them, given that all of these kids have summoned Personas before, so feel free to use that to your advantage to keep your kids from just denying their trash-talking Shadows until the cows come home!

Good morning everyone!

Don't forget to submit your characters losing their Personas and groups by 11:59pm CST, June 8th.
We'll post a reminder the day before the dungeons are due as well (June 11th).
The way we have things set up we don't anticipate needing NPC mods, but we want to be ready just in case it turns out we do. If you'll be mostly available during endgame and wouldn't mind potentially doing a roll or two, or setting up a room, let us know here and we may call on you! This is significantly less involved than NPC mods were at Gooseberry given that people are running their own dungeons; it's more like environment modding than NPC modding.

Hey guys! Just three (plus one) quick notes:

There will be no activity check this month (or ever again)! So don't worry about that!
The last PCal would normally be going up this Sunday, but given the busy weekend and the fact that we want to avoid spoilers, we'll actually be putting it up on May 31st. We haven't figured out the time yet, but we'll let you know at least 24 hrs in advance. It'll be a sparse one, but it will be happening!
On the 31st we'll also be giving you more in-depth details about what endgame will look like, and what we'll need from you.

Hey guys! Here are a few Announcements!

PCal looks a little strange this month! That's because (a) we kept events sparse (the tone of the month just doesn't lend itself to filler fluff!) and (b) there will no longer be exploration IC/OOCs. The reason for this is narrative-based and will be clearer when the calendar goes up!
Due to lack of submissions, we've decided to cancel the Shadow Post today. April can just be a nice month all around!
Due to a couple of factors, we've decided not to do petitions for additional Wildcards. This is probably already obvious, but we just wanted to state it officially.
For our sake (and yours), the deadline to submit a new character is May 12th. After that, we're closing applications.
To give you guys a big heads up, end game will be happening the week of June 17th. We're still working out the exact start date, but we're planning on a week of ~~terror~~ wrapping things up.

Hey guys! We have a few things we'd like to bring to your attention!

The deadline for submitting prom court votes is tomorrow, April 25th at 11:59pm MST.
Prom is on Saturday!!! Please have lots of fun before everything is a nightmare.
Speaking of nightmares, Sunday is a Shadow Post! Please submit your secrets by April 27th at 10pm CST.
ALSO on Sunday, PCal is going up at 10am CST. This one'll be a little sparse as things gear up; we'll also give you some details about end game in the next week.
For this month's PCal, there are a few spots available that we'll let anyone grab:
- Apparently frustrated with the fact that they can't be crowned prom royalty, the freshman class has been holding an election of their own and posts the results in the cafeteria. The less-than-flattering titles of the winners include: Most Likely to Trip ([Character Y]), Ugliest Outfit (~~[Character A1]~~), and You Suck (~~[Character C1]~~). Ouch.
- When [Character D1] heads into town to check out the boardwalk (it's just reopened during the week for spring!), they run into Aurora Sanders playing a game of ring toss. She challenges them to a game and they end up tying. Either she's really good, or all that training doesn't translate that well to midway games.

Omg this weekend is so busy.

At the behest of its president, Student Council will be hosting an Easter egg hunt for students on Sunday! I won't have the time to run an RNG or even do a proper IC/OOC, but you know what I can do? Make you write short essays about your characters' egg hunting skills. Presume this takes place after Community Outreach's responsibilities in town.

I will then choose who was the most successful, and who was the least successful! There will be IC prizes to lord over your peers! :) It'll be chosen based on content, what makes us laugh, activity blah blah blah.

What is their motivation?: Candy or glory?
What are their tactics?: Do they have any particular approach to the hunt?

Hey everyone it's JJ and here's my final character (saving the worst for last!).

Sophomore Coins boy, also from the suburbs of Omaha. He is not friends with Yvie even if she told you he is :/

Has nine siblings and never had his own personal space or a clean kitchen growing up and now he's Fussy and Weird.

Wrecked his personal life at his old school due to his own very bad decisions and came to Finchwood to get away from it all. It worked out, because he is a big believer in The Mission.

Kind of a reckless idiot on the battlefield! Fights like he wants to die! Scout has done a good job keeping him alive thus far (unfortunately).

Tries to keep his personal life here low-key to avoid any further drama... but he loves going to parties and gossiping and hanging out with people so this has been hard.

Core Classes: English, Mathematics, Science*, Social Studies*, Training. Elective Classes: Philosophy, Art, Shop. Clubs: Athletics, Community Outreach, Drama (crew only), Gaming, Gardening.

Needs any kind of plots but he also puts effort into being a non-presence so it shouldn't be a problem if your character doesn't have any particular feelings about him. Might just start posting with him and see what happens.

Yvie Barton is a girl from the suburbs of Omaha, Nebraska. Her mother loves her prize winning cats more than her human daughter. Prom nominations must be in by the end of tomorrow (Tuesday, April 9) to be counted! If it helps, you don't need to write long nominations, although obviously thoughtful nominations may be weighted more.

We haven't 100% worked out how voting will work yet, but it'll be likely that you can vote for your top two candidates in every age category, regardless of gender. If you really want (or don't want) your character(s) to be nominated, please feel free to discuss it below! :)
