Welcome (back) to Finchwood Academy, kids! This year is going to be a whole different ball game, so we hope you're ready! Because all of the currently played characters were here last year, and because we obviously have a massive influx of characters all at once, this meme is to help you find your kids' places in the world.

Venus is on student council & in life skills with her and thinks she's a little bit of a stick in the mud. She should come to parties instead of going to bed at like 7:30 or whatever!!!

Atticus appreciates that she's taking this seriously. I think he probably has some level of disconnect with her, though. A military upbringing is like the polar opposite of what his childhood was, so they're from very different worlds.

Someone will coax her into a party someday. Probably. She doesn't dislike Venus, because she appreciates the kind of person she is but Ella has a real bad reaction to peer pressure apparently.

True, but she's not opposed to how other people are / were raised or think she was raised better so maybe they could learn from each other??

oh, he wouldn't hold it against her or anything. but just how... rigid her lifestyle is is very opposite to his and i don't think debating it would do them much good since they're both very set in their ways lmao. he might sometimes be like "hey, you've earned a day off" in an off-hand fashion, because sometimes when he's been working really hard he lets himself sleep in late. but he wouldn't push her if she said it wasn't for her.

as for the particulars about his history he's not very open about it, but i imagine the info she's a military brat is probably a little more open-to-all, so he... miiiight talk to her about it sometime. he doesn't think much of the US military, though, so it might be a loaded topic. i imagine his lead for that convo would probably something around the lines of "would you be joining the military if your family wasn't already military?" and it's just genuine curiosity.

Yeah, I think she’s gotten set in her ways and doesn’t change because she doesn’t see a reason to? Like, she’s not under the impression that her way is the only way or even the best way, it’s just her way. It’s good for her and until she sees a good reason to change her habits, she’s isn’t going to. I think she’s respond well to hearing she deserves a day off, because it means she’s working hard. I mean she probably won’t take a day off but she ain’t gonna get mad about the suggestion lol

She’s be down to talk about it. I don’t think anyone has even asked her that, so I think that conversation could be fun? It might actually make her evaluate her life.

sounds good! i feel like in the past they've probably be inclined to be terse with each other because it'd be like "hey you should take a day off" "thanks, but no" "okay" and that'd be how most of their interactions went, just cause he isn't like, pushy. but maybe they can talk more this year.
