Wash everything on cold, confirmed. Though, most modern HE washers don't actually get hot anyway, even the "hot" setting is really just warm, because modern detergents are designed to work fine in cold water.

Also I did a summer thing abroad thing in England in high school and no one but me realized the washer temps were in C not F and everyone ruined their laundry because they washed it on like 45C

False, I have a pair of blue jeans I have washed so many times and they still rub blue all over everything. They're cursed, but they make my butt look good, so there's nothing for it.
