APRIL 2019 |
04/01 | Monday 🎂 Happy Birthday Venus Rosales! April Fools! Pearl Kline tries to play a prank on Iason at the behest of Irene, only to get pranked by Atticus Starling as they lie in wait. Apparently Iason knew this was going to happen and enlisted the help of Atticus to "protect" him. 04/02 | Tuesday Spring is finally in the air, and daffodils are starting to sprout up everywhere! Lucille Simon finds one outside their room with a love poem attached to it. There are roots still attached to the flower, too. 04/03 | Wednesday Apparently poor Mr. Nash has allergies - he's sneezing all class period, and looks a little miserable. Luckily, Russell Reeve has some allergy meds with them, which they offer to their suffering teacher. He thanks them profusely and gives them some cookies he'd made this morning. He promises he didn't sneeze on them. 04/04 | Thursday Kodi Hansen gets a text from the animal shelter volunteer she'd 'befriended' - he figures she'd like to know that Ms. Pickle was adopted by a very nice family just a town over! Happy endings are real! 04/05 | Friday ✨It's time for the spring musical, The Drowsy Chaperone! The production invites those from the community to come onto Finchwood campus to enjoy the show they've been working tirelessly on. 04/06 | Saturday Zinnia Howe and [Wildcard Character F] manifest new Personas during training. Mr. Gladstone seems proud but also has a conversation with them about power, responsibility, and sacrifice that ends the class on something of a down note. What brought that on? Throughout the month, all Wildcards will be manifesting more Personas. See below for more details! 04/08 | Monday There are daisy-chained flower crowns left all over campus today - Luke Pokorny catches Joni leaving a few on some desks when they arrive early to class. Not unexpectedly, she doesn't say anything to them before leaving. 04/09 | Tuesday Mason Chambers gets to first period and realizes that they've forgotten their notebook! Returning to the hallway to make a mad dash back to the dorm, they're met by Dakota, who has the notebook in her mouth. She wags her tail. Crisis averted! 04/11 | Thursday Support students determine that another rift will be opening on Saturday. Squad 1, Squad 2, Squad 3, Squad 7, Squad 9, and Squad 12 will be heading into the Shadow World. 04/12 | Friday Haling High is putting on their musical, and Venus Rosales and Jude Tobin go to see it and even sneak into the cast party. Once everyone realizes who they are, though, they get kicked out - booooo! 04/15 | Monday During training, Irene pairs the students up and puts the through a rigorous obstacle course... after binding them to each other by one wrist and one ankle. For Rose Chapman and Noah Dressler this is an exercise in frustration and they almost come to blows while trying to get through. Justice Bishop and Adam Ho, though, are impressively in tune with each other and do quite well! If they aren't already dating, there are now whispers that they should be. 04/16 | Tuesday It's a nice, sunny day outside, so Mr. Bhattacharya decides to hold Philosophy class outside. Unfortunately, a nice day doesn't mean it's not windy, and Glenn Turnbull's loose papers get caught in a gust and blown away. Hopefully their classmates will share their notes. 04/17 | Wednesday Support students determine that another rift will be opening on Sunday. Squad 4, Squad 5, Squad 6, Squad 8, Squad 10, and Squad 11 will be heading into the Shadow World. 04/18 | Thursday While Tuesday was sunny, Thursday is full of rain showers. Monet Romilly and Pansy Tipton get caught in one without an umbrella and hide under a tree until Mr. Moon comes to their rescue. He has a comically large umbrella that can shield all three of them. 04/19 | Friday Good Friday - No Classes Cecilia Blackwell makes a pros and cons list about asking their crush to prom... and loses it! What could possibly go wrong? 04/21 | Sunday Easter - Community Outreach goes to one of the local elementary schools to help out at an Easter party. They mostly have to spend time dyeing eggs with the kids. Ulrich Roth gets scolded by a first grader for 'doing it wrong,' and Liam Blumenthal gets along so well with some of the kids that one of the parents asked them if they'd babysit? Please? Their kids are such a handful... 04/23 | Tuesday Almost as eager for prom as the students, Ms. Kowalczyk turns today's Art Class into a workshop for making corsages and boutonnieres and subtlety gossips with Lillian Armstrong about who's going with who, what everyone's wearing, and anything else that happens to come up. 04/24 | Wednesday 🎂 Happy Birthday Hamsi Khan! Shiloh Sadler apparently walks a little too close to a tree with a bird's nest in it on their way to class, because they're divebombed by a bird until they make it to safety inside a building. 04/25 | Thursday Apparently frustrated with the fact that they can't be crowned prom royalty, the freshman class has been holding an election of their own and posts the results in the cafeteria. The less-than-flattering titles of the winners include: Most Likely to be Stood Up (Gregory de Leon), Most Likely to Trip ([Character Y]), Worst Kisser (Blake Hasenkamp), Ugliest Outfit (Martin Geary), Dateless Wonder (Adam Ho), and You Suck (Kodi Hansen). Ouch. 04/26 | Friday An eager freshman approaches Slade Winchester after training and proceeds to praise them, gush over them, and ask if they can be on their squad next year. They're adamant and even offer to do Slade a big favor to prove they're serious! If you take this event and want a favor from the freshman, hit the dropbox and we'll let you know how it goes! 04/29 | Monday When Roland Messer heads into town to check out the boardwalk (it's just reopened during the week for spring!), they run into Aurora Sanders playing a game of ring toss. She challenges them to a game and they end up tying. Either she's really good, or all that training doesn't translate that well to midway games. 04/30 | Tuesday Hoping to have a May Day celebration tomorrow, Neal Valentine tries to set up a may pole near the rusted cars, but doesn't quite anchor it right. It comes crashing down and snaps in half, and it ends up shattering one of the few remaining windshields on the cars. Oops. |
