it was actually my boss who i was friendly with so i think she thought she was helping somehow but she stopped pushing finally after i gave a very uncomfortable shrug after she asked if i was gay and her husband was like "uhhh i don't think you can ask that" and it was just kind of a giant nightmare
(no surprise that i am even more socially awkward in real life)
