UNFORTUNATELY for lyle i also play a junior swords and its rose who, unlike lyle, is bad at talking AND writing

shes terrifying in and of herself and probably didnt do much to help lyle stay bc she is very obnoxious, but also and double-unfortunately she has a real soft spot for jumpy lil weirdos so she probably thought she was being nice by punching him in the shoulder and then offering him a fruit mentos. ssssorry.

petra is on his squad!!!!!!! and also loves to play darts? i'd love them to do some dumb bullseye training/fun stuff together. she's got a lil mischievous streak too. she tries to cover it up with powdered sugar, but i think everyone in her squad knows shes a stinker, lmao. so i think she and lyle would be friendly and maybe even actual friends :>

I mean I honestly and regularly despair of the fact that so many people DO trust Pearl so this is a completely logical/normal reaction. If she picked up on him being ACTUALLY uncomfortable she'd back off but would still look for chances to be relentlessly (I just typed relentlyss completely unconsciously, send help) friendly at him.

GOD, Lyle doesn't have a DEAL, guys. (He does.) But yesss, he'd definitely still stick around cause he'd find Jude interesting TOO and might from time to time when it got too psychoanalytic start narrating Jude's actions like a famous book hero as a distraction. OR SIMILAR.

I HAVE YET TO REALLY DISCOVER HOW LYLE REACTS TO BEING HIT ON but my best GUESS is that he'd just try to be playful back and never really follow thru ESPECIALLY with someone like Noah? SO that's...probably encouraging and frustrating so I'm sorry to Noah, darling boy.

In his way, he probably really looks up to Flint and makes a conscious effort to Still and be Responsible around him and is always suuuper invested in print club. If he WANTED to help him with training anyway Lyle would really like that and probably does learn from different styles? Especially more Bold Styles that would teach him Lyle Don't Just Hide in the Back.

He will never once try to make Blake talk more than she wants to and that can be their Understanding

Oh boy Rose was probably very confusing but luckily, shadows are still scarier than Rose. The very first time she gave him a fruit mentos he decided she was good people and only blinks at her a little when she hits him. Rose is proooobably one of his fave targets for weirdass tiny gifts but they're affectionate? PROMISE?

Ahhhh yes I'd love them to be friends!! He probably gravitated to Petra a little when they were both on 5 and would play darts with him, and he saw that stinky twinkle in her eye. He respects and encourages it

HI WE KNOW LYLE ADORES HER I like to think that she edited and after maybe a week of freaking out about it just presented her with a big pile of story and that was how they were friends forever the end.

BUT SHE'S ALSO THE ONLY OTHER SOPH WANDS??? SO SLADE CONTRACTUALLY ADORES HER TOO SORRY.

My older kids are not really applicable here but Pearl thinks she's....so cute.

ROOMIE ROOMIE ROOMIE Hey Pearl super loves her and makes a big deal out of her and all of her accomplishments eternally.

Kyra is probably suuuper intimidated of her because she's louder and competent and competitive but therefore tries to talk to her sometimes, because that's how Kyra works.

Annnd oh actually Lyle's siblings are all homeschooled so if they ever need something to talk about there is that?

luke would like her a lot. there are a lot of, um, strong personalities, and while he tries to go with the(ir) flow, i think he'd def be drawn to someone a little more balanced and outwardly friendly! they should be friiieeendsss

Pearl unfort hangs around all the senior swords pooossibly more than they'd like, and I don't think that would stop at all with Blake. The opposite, probably. She'd really like her and has a soft spot for the antisocial and would constantly poke at her (Gently!) and I'm sorry

Kyraaaa might actually like her a lot too in the "let's sit in the same room and say 3 words to each other" kind of way??

I already said Lyle will just perch in her general direction and probably that is still true

i love her :( i read the stuff about her persona last night and went :O the whole time, it's such a cool concept! 👏

kodi's in her year. their only class or club overlap is training so i don't imagine she'll have had a lot of facetime with blake? she DID date adam and is close with atticus and suzy and pansy, so she's been around a lot. idk but hmu if you have any ideas~

luke is a baby sword and i'm sorry that he will probably be weird at her because he's weird at everybody.

i'm excited for jude ;o;
i.... am not sure WHAT interactions will look like with my girls, but he'll definitely have run into suzy a lot since he was dating pansy? ;o; they also have a few overlapping activities. i'd like to say they maayyybeeee are neutral-friendly depending on his relationship with pansy now and how they vibe?

i think lucy likes him, too, but i also feel like they may not get along???? maybe we'll see???
perhaps they tolerate eachother in a "i too hate humans" kind of occasional-bro-nod way :3

cc is also very hard to rattle, had a weird time at finchwood at first too, and would find his psychoanalysis ~chill and interesting~ //
i'm curious about what their dynamic might be like :o

my IMMEDIATE feelin is that cc will find lyle perhaps a kindred spirit~~ so hopefully they can be friends? they're in art and english together at least ++ a similar bent toward keeping things light~

lyle will also run into lucy a tiny bit because of print club and from staying over the summer? which could be interesting :d

lucy will HATE her, but i think she'll vibe with suzy in some ways (they can bond over cooking/food esp~~) aaaaand cc!! wand stuff!! i actually think cc might be mildly big sister friendly with her~ ;o; which might be cute if it like backfired and josie was actually the one taking her under her wing since she's... cc. i guess we'll see aaah :d

i FEEL like.... suzy....... might be a candidate for weird rival feelings? i've MEANT for her to have more lines like that but she's ended up just being an anxious sweetie. su was vaguely irritable over not making squad leader, and that plus maybe an athletics club incident maybe equals dumb grudges???? if you're interested?

i can also offer cc or lucy as a kiss mistake~

i have this immediate impression like... no matter how blunt and socially awkward blake is, suzy hasn't noticed because they're swords together and that means they're !friends! to her (even if maybe blake doesn't or hasn't always agreed). ;o;

i kind of want to offer lucy as a friend too?
there's always the possibility that they'd just uh bounce off eachother BUT they are both supports, both into art, both ... the way they are... ♥ idk it might be cute!!! of course we'd have to throw them together and see~

Oh i would love for him and CC to be friends and yyy I agree they could be Very Kindred Spirit? Lyle would love to perch and chatter @ her and I think they would get on very well.

And ahhhh he'd think Lucy was very interesting and probably bugged her a little over the summer if she would tolerate him??
