Name: Donovan McMorrow Age: Twenty-six Occupation: Resident (planning to specialize in neurosurgery...eventually). He also co-hosts a pretentious podcast about philosophy that technically earns him a bit of money, but that's really more of a hobby than a job. Residence: Cambridge, MA Personal life: Donovan's engaged to Cecilia. The two dated throughout the remainder of their time at Finchwood Academy, broke up for practical reasons when they went to different colleges for undergrad, but remained close and eventually got back together. They were in a long-distance relationship until Donovan started medical school at Harvard. If they weren't seniors, did they finish high school at Finchwood? Donovan continued his education at Finchwood Academy, completing his junior and senior years there. During this time, he continued to be an insufferable overachiever and maybe became even more insufferable when he began Officially dating Cecilia. The two remained in constant competition and fought tooth and nail over the valedictorian spot. After their experiences in the caves, he took to treating Gregory and Mason as friends. Or something. Congratulations? After graduation: To the surprise of absolutely no one, Donovan dove straight into college after graduation. He attended Stanford University, going in undeclared because of his broad academic interests before eventually narrowing his focus down to medicine. He cavalierly blames this on Imamiah; once a healer, always a healer, right? But he's also just fascinated by the complexities of the human body and maybe wants to help people or something. When it came time to actually start medical school, he traded Stanford in for Harvard. For 100% serious academic reasons and not to be closer to Cecilia.
Since leaving Finchwood, he hasn't gone looking for Shadows but if one happened to end up in his orbit he does have a couple of swords waiting around for old times' sake. The further he gets into his medical education, the more it bothers him that he can't use his Persona to help people more openly. It seems like a waste. Now as an adult: Donovan is currently in his first year of residency and will be taking the first of his board certification exams relatively soon. His life is hectic, demanding, and challenging and there's still a lot of work to do but he wouldn't have it any other way. Are they happy?: Yes. Did they ever try to talk to anyone about what happened in Haling Cove?: Not really. Donovan doesn't have that many close friends outside of his Finchwood associates and he doesn't typically talk to his parents about serious things. Besides, who would believe him or really be able to understand all that anyway? Anything else?: This future is Colleen-approved~
