Hey guys!! We wanted to give you an example of character's Shadow confrontation, so Rin has written up one style for you guys real fast. This is just an example, though - you're more than welcome to play this out in shorter tags with more spaces for interaction, like you're playing a mimic, or you can be less wordy than Rin was here and not even have any direct dialogue. It's entirely up to you, and don't feel any pressure to write too much! If you deny your Shadow you're in for a fight, but it's also possible for a character to simply accept that their Shadow is a part of them and it can go quietly. Rin has suggested here that there's a sort of pull to accept them, given that all of these kids have summoned Personas before, so feel free to use that to your advantage to keep your kids from just denying their trash-talking Shadows until the cows come home!

On entering the room with Hadlee's Shadow, the blonde girl immediately makes her way over to confront her doppleganger. This is rude - this pathetic, drunk version of her that looks so miserable. Hadlee's not miserable. Hadlee's doing just fine, even though she's kind of maybe a little scared right now.
"Oh my goooood, I don't have time for you," her Shadow laments between gulps of Appletini, but her yellow eyes to snap up to lock onto Hadlee. "Just let me wallow here. We all know that's what everyone wants to do, anyway. I'm just a pain and Venus only likes me because I've got a good face and a rockin' bod."
It's unsettling to make eye contact with herself, but that feeling is quickly overtaken by annoyance. "Shut up! People love me because I'm awesome! And Venus is super into me because I've got a good face and a rockin' bod AND because I'm a good person. You're just a trash version of me so that's probably why nobody loves you."
Another Appletini down, and Shadow Hadlee is standing up. Her beautiful dress, baby blue and covered in rhinestones that shine strangely, is rumpled as it lays snug to her body, and her crown sits askew. The glittery, thick tears running down her cheeks don't seem to be worth her brushing aside. "No. Don't lie." Her voice has become quieter but harder. "Don't lie. You're terrified you're unloved. You're always so full of shit though, aren't you? Dressing up, waltzing around in front of judges, begging them to tell you you're enough, begging everyone to tell you that you're pretty and you're worthy. You do it with your 'friends,' too. Look at me, love me." As she raises her hands to do air quotes at the word friends, her elbow length gloves are starting to fray at the fingers.
"I'm not a trash version of you." She adds. "I just am you."
Of course, Hadlee denies this, again and again, and her Shadow spits more and more words about her feelings of inadequacy as its form begins changing. It morphs grotesquely, twisting into a figure made of diamonds. Its hands, feet, shoulders, and 'hair' are covered in dangerously sharp spikes, giving the feminine figure a menacing look. A large, black crystal crown with the tips of the points broken off sits on her head, and the only clothing she wears is a black velvet mantel fastened at her neck, trimmed in hot pink fur that, concerningly, writhes a little as if still attached to some living animal. Two bright blue sapphires act as eyes, and are the only features on her face, but even so she holds black hand mirror that she constantly seems to be gazing into. Inside her transparent chest is what looks like an extremely tiny non-anatomical heart, beating feebly.
There's a bit of a scuffle; the entire group engages with this corrupt version of Haziel, beating it down until it's weak. Hadlee can't do much in the fight, of course, but she can feel the tug of something inside her. Begging her to just accept this Hadlee, this monstrous version of her Persona, because she needs it to be whole again and to get back to what she does best - Support. Haziel wants to come back.
"Fine! I feel all this bullshit! But like, I'm sure other people do too! So it's fine! You're stupid and I hate you but you're not a liar! You're my bullshit!"
With that, the Shadow's diamond skin shatters, revealing Haziel's mirrored skin beneath.
