tippedinHey, it's Ben here with my fourth third SECOND character.
Pansy Tipton. Senior Sword. Squad 9 Leader. The Moon.
Classes: English*, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies*, Training, Art, Music, Philosophy, Leadership
Clubs: Athletics, Gaming
Her concept: Competitive older sister. Let's place bets on who dies first.
Uhhhh, let's see. Pansy is from Chicago. Loves basketball. Due to her parents' schedules, Pansy looked after her siblings a lot and took naturally to being in charge. She's independent and self assured. Confident. Direct and unafraid. She'll see through your bullshit and then call you on it.
She's loved Finchwood because she's enjoyed getting to be with her peers. Hanging out with people her age and not just being responsible for her younger siblings. She loves her friends, having fun, joking around. Being a teenager. She can be sarcastic and banter-y and playful (read: competitive). Let's make a bet! Let's turn this into a game! Let's turn this situation into something where I can WIN.
Of course, this FUN is balanced by the reality of their situation (shadows/exploration/personas). Being named Squad Leader was a return to her pre-Finchwood days. She was again responsible for a group of people. Squad Leader Pansy is more serious. Because she privately believes that they're probably going to die here. This belief means....
- She's determined to make her squad live as long as possible. She takes protecting them very seriously and has little patience for members slipping up or failing to do the same. Everyone has a role. Everyone has responsibilities. Now, let's go out and do them.
- She wants her squad members to enjoy their lives as much as possible. Go to that dance! Kiss that person! Be in that play! She'll work behind the scenes, too, to solve their problems and make them happier. If they're going to die fighting shadows, might as well enjoy what time they have. (As long as everyone is in bed at a reasonable hour, is prepared to train, and doesn't hook up with anyone else on the squad.)
What else, what else? Meggie and I decided that Pansy and Jude dated last year. But things ended when Pansy was named Squad Leader. She needed to reshuffle her priorities and the squad came first. So, no dating for now.
I'm looking for everything. Either with your current characters or your upcoming fourths. Senior sword stuff! Music stuff! Sports stuff! Romantic plots! Friendships? Rivalries? Intrigue or annoyances? And, if that squad dynamic is interesting, come join Squad 9! (Also, happy to adjust slightly to accommodate your characters!) I'm down for whatever! I'm excited to have a character with emotional maturity (sorry, Gregory) and who can relate with others in a new way.
Woo!
