lucy simon
ROOM: Senior Coins Girls
ROOMMATES: Danica Laska + Theodora Sandoval
DECORATIONS: lol. Lucy is a person with a lot of "obscure" interests, which she tries very hard to advertise via her decor. It's the Spook Zone! The cluttered, gothy Spook Zone. Black, red, black velvet, red velvet, more black. Candles, crystals. Unnecessary animal skulls. Drying dead roses in a vase. The most extra black canopy over the bed possible for PRIVACY (she needs a book light during daylight hours y'all). This is the dorm corner of an ages-old mystic vampire who loves Halloween!! It is a LAIR! ....It's also full of books. Lucy has brought almost her entire personal library from home to this school, which means they're everywhere: a miniature library, thoughtfully sorted and lovingly decorated with various knick-knacks. Lucy also has a particular love for pulp novels and horror movies, which you will find evidence of here and there. She has a large poster of Ghostface from Scream, as well as Jason Vorhees.
TIDINESS: It doesn't look like it, but Lucy knows where everything is. She has a system, especially for books, and is fastidious about keeping her wardrobe and shoes in a particular order. She just... also has a lot of stuff. There are some issues with clutter and dust. That said, it stays within the Spook Zone. Lucy is very possessive of her things.
STANDARDS: Leave Lucy alone?? Basically? The most she expects of her roommates is that they won't touch her stuff, bother her when she doesn't want to be bothered, will let her play her goth tunes in peace, etc. You can be loud, messy, play music, whatever. Have friends over indefinitely. Do whatever you want. Just... leave Lucy alone. And never, ever try to handle her instruments or laptop. ...As a roommate, in that way she's fairly low maintenance and actually rather easy to get along with, as long as you don't mind her occasional dark moods and random sniping comments as she enters or exits the space. If Lucy is displeased about something or having a bad day, it's very obvious. On a semi-positive note, occasionally her jealousy over her space can spill over to her roommates' as well; if something's wrong or someone's there that shouldn't be (or won't leave when you ask), she is a very effective guard dog.
PET PEEVES: As above: don't touch Lucy's stuff. Just don't. Don't do it!!!! Lucy hates being talked to while she is clearly reading, or when she has headphones in. Now she will never give you a straight answer. :( She dislikes small talk and attempts at getting to know her by asking about her books or posters or whatever random knick-knacks. Don't ask!! Actually, don't even look now.
HABITS: Lucy has No Actual Schedule and can be found up reading or doing random tasks at ungodly hours. Her music is definitely a "habit"; she does practice a lot (though usually with headphones) and sometimes needs to hear things "out loud" to make sure they're "balanced." She can be mildly annoying about watching movies out loud or as background noise (gory thrillers and horror, or dramatic period pieces). She's not the... greatest... student, but when taken with a particular project she will obsess over it for uninterrupted hours upon hours. Lucy are you okay???
HIDDEN TREASURES: Yes. A flask, of course. And sometimes, when just back from a break, perhaps an edible or two. Lucy also has a box of witchy shit that she loves but is embarrassed about: basically the components of an altar, private candles and trinkets, lucky objects, etc. This is only pulled out when she can practice in total solitude, or to be moved outside for ~secret spells and rituals~. She keeps some of her more Clearly This Is About Magick and I Kind of Believe In It books in less obvious locations. She's not totally shameless. She also keeps an art journal, which she hides in rotating locations. If you look closely among her gothic hoard, too, you will notice a tiny statuette of Atlas; Lucy usually keeps it out of sight because she thinks it makes her look too sentimental, but she keeps it on her desk when she's stressed because it reminds her of Yeialel. ♥
SLEEPING HABITS: Lucy has trouble sleeping and is often lucky to get more than five or six uninterrupted hours. She does tend to take the night in shifts; you'll see her napping at a random time before midnight, then awake for a while working, then back to sleep for another snatch until it's time to get ready for class. She can be hard to predict.
BATHROOM HABITS: Lucy actually spends a lot of time getting ready. Like. Way more than she would admit, especially on the weekends. Her hair is the most high-maintenance thing about her despite the fact that she barely styles it; keeping it bleached and trimmed and hydrated enough not to just break off into dust particles is a particular obsession, and it takes visible effort every week. It takes visible effort to look sufficiently alternative, period. She also doesn't work out, so her everyday shower could be... any time, really. But some time. And for a long time. She also wears a strong niche perfume, which does tend to trail after her when just applied.
COMMON ROOM: Lucy hates the Common Room because she hates community. She'll slink out here in the dead of night, though, if she needs to work on music or do something that requires more spreading out than the dorm room.

Re: lucy simon
4:45 am
dora: o.o
lucy: o.o
dora: *wordless nod*
lucy: *shuts privacy curtain*
and now it's like
4:45 am
dora: *ignores*
lucy: *shuts privacy curtain*
fallen into that u do u thing. if lucy doesn't hate the head nod, dora probably gives her a brief head nod of acknowledging she exists and kind of saying hello without speaking and then heads off to do her thing
