NAME: Kyra Wilkie ROOM: Junior Coin Girls ROOMMATES: Hadlee Loxton and Eva Crawford
DECORATIONS: She doesn't have many decorations at all. She goes for a very minimalist aesthetic. Starkly so, to the point that it mostly just looks like she hasn't bothered to decorate. Her bedding is mostly white. It's a lot like this. Her corner of the room wouldn't be out of place in a home decor catalog. This is mostly because she's invested in a few pretty-looking white linens, but otherwise, she doesn't have a whole lot to advertise, anyway. She has a shelf of self-help books lining her desk, and they're the only thing she doesn't mind if people take.
TIDINESS: Kyra's fastidiously neat and tidy. She utilizes organizers for her desk and belongings, and probably blew all of her ill-begotten money at the container store. She keeps track of all of her things carefully, because she often doesn't have the means to get more.
STANDARDS: She likes the room to be clean and put together. This is more than a little because if it's cluttered, she starts kind of getting sticky finger syndrome and begins to wonder if she can just take the things her roommates clearly don't care about. But it's a bad idea to steal from where you sleep, so she heads that problem off by neatly gathering anything left in the common space on her roommate's dressers or the foots of their beds. She will personally clean the room every weekend, and if her roommates want to do that with her, she encourages it. It takes like half an hour with everyone working. She's definitely not proactive enough to do a chore wheel to spread this work out more.
PET PEEVES: Kyra doesn't really mind mess. She'll just pick it up, so if that bothers her roommates, she might be the one poking at their pet peeves. She doesn't like a lot of extra people in the room, but if they're there when she is, she doesn't often leave because she doesn't really trust them around all her things. She's tried to map out and mentally approve all of the friends of her roommates by now, but still doesn't love a crowd.
HABITS: Kyra's in her room mostly just to study and sleep, and asks for privacy when she does both things. She has a large white curtain that she uses for privacy around her study nook, and can disappear into that for hours. Studying's pretty difficult for her, so that's the respect she'll ask for. She's surprisingly flexible otherwise. She can be seen marking her workout hours, study hours, sleep, water, etc etc into a bullet journal that isn't particularly private, but also not very cute. She tries to work out daily in the morning, and comes back to shower before breakfast, but she isn't particularly bothered about moving that routine to the afternoon, as long as she doesn't have a club.
HIDDEN TREASURES: She keeps everything valuable to her (her money, family photos, a few jewelry items, and a plain manila envelope with a few other jewelry items) in her suitcase at the side of her dresser, sewn into the lining. She accesses that only when there's no one else in the room. A more public secret is the ever-rotating but always properly sealed box of cookies (or cake, or candy, or whatever) in the top drawer of her desk. It's the sad snack jar, and she always seems to be able to produce it when someone needs cheering up. This is the only method she knows to cheer anyone up.
SLEEPING HABITS: Kyra's an early riser, no matter what time she goes to bed. At first when she moved in, she wasn't getting enough sleep, because she found it very difficult to sleep when anyone else was awake or could even possibly wake up. And she still does, but it's a more comfortable situation now that she knows Hadlee and Eva. She hides under a huge white duvet no matter the temperature, so that no one will be able to see her doing anything strange in her sleep. Which she doesn't, really, although she's a very light sleeper and wakes up violently when startled.
BATHROOM HABITS: She likes to shower after she works out daily, but if the bathrooms are full, she won't complain. She takes up a very small amount of bathroom space, and is efficient though not downright fast about doing her hair and makeup. She likes to look put together, and she'll stay in place until that happens.
COMMON ROOM: Since her bed/desk space is so expressly for studying and sleeping, Kyra uses the common room (or potentially other people's common rooms, I don't know) for unwinding. She watches truly stupid teen soaps when she has it to herself or with other people who don't mind her remote control hogging, because she's too cheap to just buy hulu like a normal child. She doesn't ever leave anything there, though, and is careful to clean up what she brings.
